5 Reasons to Stop Procrastinating Move to a New State

May 15, 2018 By anthony Leave a Comment

Have you been wanting to move states for ages but keep putting it on the back burner? Here are some reasons to move so you can stop procrastinating and finally make a dramatic change in your life.

The simple fact of the matter is you’re only getting older. Every day.

We all have our regrets from the past and worries about the future, but we have to learn to let them go. If you’ve been debating on whether or not you should move to a new state, just do it.

The “what ifs” of the future may seem daunting, but you don’t know if you don’t try.

If you need a little extra push to pack up and move, make sure you keep reading. Below are 5 reasons to move to a new state.

1. Everyone Loves a Clean Slate

Life comes with broken hearts, torn relationships, and missed opportunities. If you’re feeling like you’re being weighed down by the past, start a new future.

Moving to a new state isn’t running from your problems, it’s giving yourself a chance to make a new future. Allow yourself to be open to new possibilities.

While a luxury vacation may be a good band-aid, you aren’t addressing the wounds. Moving to a new house can start the healing you need.

2. Find a New Job

Unfortunately, many people are miserable with their routine 9-to-5. If you’re having panic attacks before going to work, it’s time to find another job.

Try to spend time every afternoon after your current job to apply for something else. In fact, apply for a job in another state.

Not only is a job in another state a great opportunity to grow, moving to a new state can open up doors for your career you didn’t even know existed.

3. Spice up Your Love Life

Before you start blushing, we aren’t talking about toys or lingerie. We are talking about new people and new fun places to go on dates.

Sometimes you may have the perfect job, perfect home, but you have no one to share it with. Perhaps moving homes to another state is just the thing you need to find the one to share your future with.

For those who have divorced, this applies to you as well. In fact, 40% of marriages include one partner getting remarried.

4. You’ve Only Seen the Tip of the Iceberg

Moving to a new house can open up a whole world of excitement. Gaining new perspectives and partaking in new adventures is healthy for the mind and soul.

If you are currently by the beach, maybe try moving a new state with a mountain view. If you’re in a huge city, maybe it’s time to relax on a quiet farm.

Spend a little time each day researching new cities and surroundings to discover more and set up an exciting future.

5. New Friends Are Waiting

By moving homes and pursuing new or even different passions, you’ll inevitably meet new people.

Whether it’s joining a new gym to keep up a summer body or attending a new church, make sure you step out of your comfort zone and shake a friendly hand.

You never know how these people will impact your life. If you want to simultaneously impact someone else’s life as well, try volunteering. 24% of people made new friends by doing volunteer work!

There Are Plenty of Reasons to Move

Let go of the fears. It’s okay to be nervous, but moving to a new state can hold a whole bunch of opportunities you don’t know are even out there.

Between meeting new friends and discovering new passions, there’s nothing not to love about following the wind elsewhere.
