This project will enhance the agricultural growth of Ardi village by collaboratively adopting new techniques of farming through training sessions and new technology that can later be used by the villagers to help increase production, and in turn, increase their income.
The proposed methods will involve training as well as an introduction to technology. If executed correctly, not only will the production of the village go up, but so will the villagers' average income. They will also save time since they will no longer need to travel to other areas for jobs and will also be able to earn a reasonable amount of money from selling the crops that the villagers have grown.
Every week, there will be a meeting with the first batch of villagers involved (the trainees), to discuss new ways and future requirements of farming and agriculture.
Agricultural equipment is not readily available in Ardi, and whatever equipment the villagers are exposed to, is either not efficient enough or damaged (and thus, too expensive to repair). The reason behind wanting to develop new methods is so that the villagers can grow vegetables, grains etc. at lower costs as well as sell some of it for their own income. The training will also make them self dependent and therefore, not reliant on the market.
At first, there will be training sessions to introduce the new methods as well as to familiarize the farmers with the technology they may be working with. After a series of training sessions, the batch of farmers that were taught the methods, will then pass it down to their children, relatives etc. and thus, like a cycle, the methods will soon catch on and will improve the agricultural style of the village tremendously.

About Me: As a young American I have had a very fortunate life. I began a modeling career 5 years ago and started traveling the world. I've seen many wonderful things around the globe, but equally I've seen extreme poverty, illness and suffering all around. I asked myself why should it be so easy for me, and so difficult for others to provide the simple bare minimum for themselves and their family. Suddenly i felt a responsibility to do something. I began talking to my friends about the problems around the world, the suffering and struggling, and what we could do to help. I decided to have a gathering of people i met in New York who were also interested in giving a hand to help those in need. While discussing the issues most pressing and on our hearts, and deciding what we should do about them; we will raise the funds to help Ardi develop agricultural growth so those individuals will have one less thing to worry about. We hope having food security will help them live more fully and that can spread to villages near and far. What will be a small party for us, will make a wonderful difference in the lives of men women and children we may never meet, but need our help. Please join us! Have fun for a cause!! The Ardi Party!! (details to come)
