Coprodeli is working to improve the quality of life in the impoverished district of Subtanjalla, but extreme poverty, unemployment, and cultural biases have placed many, especially women and children, at risk for domestic violence. As Coprodeli has observed first hand, this abuse continues to prevent entire families from accessing the basic services they need to better their lives. This project will fund the salaries of a psychologist and trained social worker and provide them with the necessary materials to run a 12-month domestic violence prevention program at Coprodeli’s San Antonio Education Center. The program will provide classes, workshops, and counseling to ensure the center’s 150 at-risk students and their families receive the education and training they need to prevent and intervene in cases of intrafamily abuse. Become the Citizen Philanthropist for this project and partner with the residents of Subtanjalla to protect their community from the ongoing tragedy of domestic violence.
Congrats to Tad — Funds have been transferred to Children of Vietnam to start your project!
